Specialty Coffee & Tea Beverage Developer / Barista Trainer
A premium indoor golf facility located in Edgewater, New Jersey is seeking an experienced part-time barista with expertise in specialty coffee and tea beverage development.
This is not a standard beverage preparation position. We are looking for someone who can develop new menu items, create standardized recipes, and train our current staff to consistently prepare high-quality beverages.
Responsibilities
- Develop specialty coffee and tea beverages that align with our brand and customer base
- Create seasonal and signature beverage menus
- Develop detailed, standardized recipes, including ingredients, measurements, and preparation methods
- Establish quality-control and beverage preparation standards
- Train current staff on beverage preparation, presentation, equipment use, and service procedures
- Review and improve existing beverages and preparation processes
- Recommend suitable coffee beans, teas, ingredients, equipment, and supplies
- Create recipes that consider product cost, preparation time, consistency, and operational efficiency
- Provide clear written training materials and recipe documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience developing specialty coffee and tea beverages
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, coffee beans, teas, and beverage preparation techniques
- Ability to create original signature drinks and standardized recipes
- Previous experience training baristas or café staff
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and provide practical operational recommendations
- Basic English communication skills required for staff training and workplace communication

Pay: $23.83 - $28.70 per hour
