Work Arrangement: Onsite in one of the location above, 5 days/week
Role Summary:
Join a dynamic System Solution team as the onsite technical authority for OT network initiatives in an industrial environment. You ll lead deployment and adoption of OT network infrastructure, ensuring secure, resilient designs that support segmentation and IDMZ while meeting OT cybersecurity requirements. Acting as a liaison between IT and plant engineering, you ll translate production needs into reliable network solutions with a strong focus on zero unplanned downtime. You ll also mentor local IT and operational teams to strengthen long-term OT network capability.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the onsite network engineer for OT-related initiatives
- Lead deployment and adoption of OT network infrastructure
- Design and implement secure, resilient OT network architectures
- Incorporate OT cybersecurity requirements (segmentation, IDMZ, access control)
- Escalate and coordinate resolution for network incidents with internal teams/vendors
- Build and maintain OT network standards, practices, and documentation
- Mentor and train local IT support and operational staff on OT troubleshooting fundamentals
- Support project planning, cutovers, maintenance windows, and operational readiness
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate production requirements into network solutions
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience supporting OT, industrial, or manufacturing network environments
- Proven troubleshooting ability in complex, high-availability settings
- Strong communication and collaboration across IT and plant/operations teams
- A hands-on, ownership mindset focused on minimizing disruption
Required Skills/Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive network engineering experience
- Strong enterprise networking and secure network design expertise
- Hands-on experience with VLANs, routing/switching, redundancy, and HA design
- Knowledge of firewalls and secure connectivity patterns
- OT/industrial network monitoring and troubleshooting experience
- Wireless networking experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Experience supporting cutovers, maintenance windows, and operational support activities
- Ability to train/mentor others and drive tasks through completion
Other Skills:
- Familiarity with automation/controls/industrial systems networking
- Experience supporting OT/plant modernization efforts
Important Notes:
Onsite contract role; occasional after-hours/weekend work may be required based on business needs. Limited travel expected.
