JOB SUMMARY (BASIC FUNCTIONS ): LG Chem is seeking a motivated, early-career professional to join our South Sales Team at our corporate office in Atlanta, GA. This role is ideal for individuals interested in building a long-term career in B2B sales and account management. As a Sales Account Manager I, you will gain exposure to major customers across North America while developing commercial, technical, and relationship management skills through comprehensive training, mentorship, and hand-on experience.
As an individual contributor, this role will support existing customer relationships, assist with new business development initiatives, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure outstanding customer service and operational execution. We are seeking individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, team-oriented sales environment. Product, industry, and sales training will be provided to support long-term success and career development within LG Chem. Prior sales or industry experience is not required.

What You’ll Be Doing
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include but are not limited to):
- Manage assigned customer accounts with guidance and support from sales leadership
- Build strong relationships with customers through regular communication and site visits
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and support new business development initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate orders, inventory management, logistics, and customer service activities
- Support sales forecasting, pricing analysis, and market research activities
- Monitor customer orders, inventory levels, and delivery timelines to ensure successful execution
- Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and customer issue resolution
- Prepare reports, presentations, and market intelligence summaries
- Travel approximately 1-2 weeks per month within assigned territories to meet customers, support business development activities, and strengthen customer relationships
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES: WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; with a concentration in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Communications, or related discipline. Recent graduates and early-career professionals who are eager to learn, develop customer relationships, and build a rewarding career in B2B sales and account management are encouraged to apply.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 1-2 weeks per month primarily for customer visits and industry events
- Willingness to learn technical products, industries, and sales processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship, co-op, or work experience in customer service, sales support, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or business operations
- Experience working in a professional office environment
- Experience with SAP or ERP systems
- Exposure to B2B customers or industrial markets
