Position summary:
The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department by recruiting and onboarding employees, administering HR programs, maintaining employee records, supporting benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. This position serves as a key resource for employees while promoting a positive workplace culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit high-volume, non-exempt employees.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administer and track monthly new hire safety meetings.
- Coordinate monthly new hire benefits meetings and assist with annual open enrollment.
- Track hourly employee performance reviews and ensure they are completed by established deadlines.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, holiday events, recognition programs, and monthly employee luncheons.
- Maintain confidential employee records through scanning, filing, and secure document shredding.
- Provide guidance to employees regarding company HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Assist with workers' compensation first report of injury documentation and claim tracking.
- Generate HR reports and analyze metrics related to attendance, turnover, recruiting, and hiring.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
- Experience with high-volume, frontline recruiting, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience performing HR administrative functions.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with HRIS systems; Paycor and Employee Navigator experience is preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred but not required.
- Bi-lingual in English and Arabic is strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Performance will be reviewed periodically by the Human Resources Manager based on established performance expectations, job responsibilities, and company guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
