Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 and ICD coding systems.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, Alzheimer’s disease, or other neurological conditions.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for patients experiencing mental health emergencies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Coordinate case management activities, including patient care planning, community resource linkage, and follow-up care to support long-term recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on behavioral health initiatives, participate in clinical research projects, and contribute to data collection efforts for quality improvement.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with eligibility for clinical practice in diverse settings.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and clinical counseling across various populations.
- Strong background working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities; experience with special education or working with individuals with autism is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, and medical records management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions such as PTSD, addiction counseling, psychopharmacology, and Alzheimer’s care.
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop tailored treatment plans aligned with best practices in mental health care.
- Excellent crisis management skills combined with compassionate communication abilities to support patients through challenging situations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical documentation.

Pay: $42.00 - $60.00 per hour
