Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our after school cleaning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the building, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This is a part-time position. The potential hours are Monday-Friday, 6:00pm - 10:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas are kept clean and orderly.
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, and buffing as needed.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks to uphold safety standards and cleanliness in work environments.
- Assist with custodial duties such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfection.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using cleaning supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
