Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and maintaining accurate dental records. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of medical administrative support within a dental clinic environment. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while providing exceptional patient service and maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently while verifying insurance information and updating medical records.
- Maintain accurate documentation review of patient records.
- Assist with phone communication, answering inquiries with proper phone etiquette and providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations during all administrative activities.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and effective communication between patients and providers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist ; dental clinic experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Bilingual abilities are considered an asset to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and record keeping.
- Prior experience working in a dental office is preferred.
