Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Commissioned Security Officer to uphold safety and protect assets at our designated sites. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, conflict management, and emergency response. Your proactive approach will help ensure the safety of personnel, property, and visitors while adhering to all legal and company standards.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Operate CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to oversee property and detect potential threats
- Manage access control by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when necessary
- Enforce security policies through conflict management and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid security license or certification as required by local law for commissioned officers
- Experience in law enforcement, military, or security roles preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV operation, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, or conflict management are highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts
