Service Technician Qualifications
As a VW Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our customers’ vehicles. Ideal candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Volkswagen or other European brands.
- Technical training (preferred).
- A strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
Service Technician Responsibilities
As a VW Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing vehicle maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with Volkswagen standards.
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, and more.
- Communicating effectively with the Service Advisor and Parts Department to ensure timely completion of work.
- Staying current with the latest automotive technology and service methods.
- Ensuring the workspace is clean and organized, adhering to safety standards and practices.
