Join our dynamic team as a General shop laborer, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will bring custom storage solutions to life. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality, tailored cabinets and furniture pieces from start to finish. Your expertise in woodworking, fabrication, and installation will ensure each project meets precise specifications and exceeds client expectations. This position offers an energetic environment where your skills directly contribute to transforming spaces with beautifully crafted cabinetry.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct custom cabinets and furniture.
- Fabricate cabinet components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking equipment, ensuring precision and quality.
- Assemble cabinet parts, including framing, trimming, and finishing touches, following detailed project plans.
- Perform construction estimating tasks related to cabinet projects, including material calculations and labor assessments.
- Conduct heavy lifting and maneuvering of large components safely on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure specifications are met and projects stay on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or cabinetry fabrication with a focus on custom projects.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, and fixture installation.
- Experience with construction estimating, remodeling, flooring installation, tile laying or masonry is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and ability to work efficiently in dynamic environments.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
