POSITION SUMMARY:
Write, produce, direct and creatively execute news promos, commercial spots, station campaigns and marketing projects.
DUTIES:
- Duties include: Script writing, work with clients in pre and post production, edit video and color correct.
- Working in a busy television environment, collaborate with other creative service Producers and News Staff for news promos.
- Assist in overseeing on-air processes and work with the CS Team through the creative process of executing promos, trailers, graphic elements, sales presentations, behind-the-scenes promos and vignettes, network marketing, ad sales projects and a wide variety on-air deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conceiving, writing, producing, and editing creative solutions for promotional material for KITV which work within given financial and time considerations.
- Hands-on editing and online editing.
- Video shoots as and when required.
- Contribution to brainstorms across all departments.
- Delivering finished products on time and to the satisfaction of the client/channel.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Exceptional photography skill (video/still)
- Advanced editing capabilities, expert in the use of picture and sound to create compelling stories.
- Skilled in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and associated software.
- Understand and utilize lighting strategically
- Broadcast news or commercial production experience.
