Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Conduct floor cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine floor conditions.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to moving furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with hotel emergency procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by performing janitorial duties such as trash removal, surface cleaning, and sanitation of high-touch areas.
- Use cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to uphold sanitation standards and promote a safe environment for staff and guests.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services, including industrial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, chemical handling, sanitation procedures, and cleaning equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or similar hospitality operations is advantageous.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical use.
