Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed dental records within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like EClinical Works.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and documentation review.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with radiology with current certification to practice.
- Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics with a focus on pediatrics preferred.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for documentation accuracy.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as EClinical Works for efficient record management.
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and dental assisting procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and effectively.
- Knowledge of medical imaging procedures, vital signs monitoring, and medical records management is highly desirable. Pay: $40.18 - $46.39 per hour
