An established property restoration company in Northern Virginia is hiring a Contents Restoration Project Manager to lead contents projects from initial inspection through final pack-in and invoicing.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining contents estimating, project management, field inspections, crew scheduling, warehouse operations, and insurance carrier communication.
The ideal candidate has property restoration experience and can write estimates in Xactimate. Direct fire and contents restoration experience is strongly preferred, but experienced mitigation, emergency services, or restoration professionals may also be considered.
- Inspect residential and commercial contents losses involving fire, water, smoke, mold, and storm damage.

Identify salvageable and non-salvageable contents and document conditions through photos, inventory records, and written scopes.

Write accurate contents estimates in Xactimate and manage revisions through carrier approval.

Manage the complete pack-out, cleaning, storage, and pack-in process.

Schedule and supervise field crews and temporary labor across multiple active projects.

Maintain accurate job documentation, signed authorizations, photos, time records, and carrier updates.

Ensure all completed work is properly documented and included in final billing.

Communicate proactively with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, insurance carriers, and internal leadership.

Oversee contents warehouse organization, inventory tracking, supplies, equipment, and security.

Manage the vehicles assigned to the contents division, including inspections, assignments, and maintenance reporting.

Resolve customer concerns and project escalations professionally and promptly.

Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.
- Three or more years of experience in property restoration, contents restoration, emergency services, estimating, or insurance claims.

Previous experience writing estimates in Xactimate.

Knowledge of insurance restoration processes, documentation requirements, and carrier expectations.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, crews, and customer relationships simultaneously.

Strong organizational, administrative, time-management, and communication skills.

Comfortable working in the field, warehouse, office, and customers' homes or businesses.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Availability for occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation.

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM with rotating on-call responsibilities.
This is a hybrid field role involving job sites, warehouse operations, office work, and remote administrative coordination. Candidates must be willing and able to perform field inspections and work in properties affected by water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm damage.
