Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time) — Birdie Bar
Boston area · In-person/hybrid · 15–20 hours/week · $25–$31/hour
About Birdie Bar
Birdie Bar is an indoor golf simulator bar and restaurant where great golf meets great food and drinks. Our guests range from serious golfers dialing in their game to groups of friends who've never swung a club. We're growing, and we need someone to tell our story.
The Role
You'll own our marketing across social media, email, and text. This is a hands-on, creative role: you'll be in the venue capturing content — swings, celebrations, food, drinks, leagues, and events — and turning it into posts, emails, and texts that fill our bays and tables. You'll work directly with the owner and have real freedom to shape our voice and try new ideas.
What You'll Do
- Plan, shoot, and post content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook (3–5 posts/week +multiple stories) - short video is the priority
- Write and send a weekly email newsletter: events, specials, league signups, and promos
- Run our SMS list: 3-4 texts/month promoting events, slow-night offers, and last-minute bay availability
- Promote events - leagues, tournaments, watch parties, corporate outings, holidays
- Respond to comments, DMs, and reviews to keep our community engaged
- Track what's working (followers, engagement, email/SMS clicks, bookings driven) and report monthly
- Keep a simple content calendar so nothing falls through the cracks
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of hands-on social media or digital marketing experience (internships and personal projects count if the work is good)
- Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video on a phone (Reels/TikTok)
- Strong writing & punchy captions, clear emails, texts people don't unsubscribe from
- Experience with an email/SMS platform (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Toast, or similar) or able to learn one fast
- Reliable and self-directed. You'll set your own schedule around events and peak nights as well as communicate with staff to gather content when not on-site.
- Available for occasional evenings/weekends when the good content happens
Nice to Have
- Canva or basic design skills
- Hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment venue experience
- Interest in golf (not required but enthusiasm is)
Pay & Hours
$25–$31/hour depending on experience, 15-25 hours per week with room to grow as we do. Flexible scheduling; some hours must be on-site at the venue for content capture.
