Play and Talk's Foley at Tanger outlet mall location is hiring for the position of key holder shift manager of our video game retail store! Video game knowledge is important but not deal breaker. The store is at Tanger Outlet .
A shift manager is responsible for the successful leadership of store operations, including building a successful team, developing customer loyalty, striving for results with effective processes and goal-oriented tasks, and achieving goals for the entire store, and benefitting the company as a whole. Other responsibilities include leading and motivating sales teams, managing day-to-day operations of the entire store, hiring staff and building teams fit for company standards, and spearheading sales and dated promotional material in a time-effective manner.
This position supervises all other employees of the store. all Managers are required to always act in accordance with Play and Talk policies and ensure that all employees of their store location achieve the same quality.
[ SPECIFICATIONS ]
The position has a 90-day probationary and training period.
All managers must be able to work the full mall schedule, all required holidays, and weekends.
[ REQUIREMENTS ]
- Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, and present state-required proof of age documents.
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required,
- Associate's or accredited Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or management is preferred.
- 2 or more years of retail sales, customer service, or management/leadership experience is required;
- 1 years of retail management experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours a week any shift or times.
[ QUALIFICATIONS ]
- Ability to use all Store equipment (including, not limited to): Registers/Point-of-Sales, Computers, Scanners, Printers
- Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop with or without added weight.
- Ability to regularly reach above shoulders and overhead.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, and carry more than 30lbs. For example (but not limited to): working with pallets, merchandise, boxes of multi-products, shelving, and carts of stock.
- Ability to use cleaning supplies/cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, rolling racks, step stools, step ladders, and other occasionally assigned supplies for navigating back stock.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (including but not limited to): addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and calculating change manually; all skills found within a traditional retail department.
- Ability to use a basic keyboard and type professionally and proficiently for sales and repair data entry, customer information input, and use of Point of Sales and Inventory systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate in a customer service setting, and with other store management teams and district managers in a professional, timely, and with proper channels and language.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
