Summary: This position is responsible for the daily operation, preventative maintenance, and repair of all facility equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, pneumatic/hydraulic tools, wastewater systems, boilers, and ancillary equipment. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or necessary.
Responsibilities:
· Conducts per-operational inspection and handles maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to ensure operation begins as scheduled.
· Complete all tasks safely and efficiently.
· Maintain a clean and orderly operation.
· Responsible for eliminating all causes of failure and ensuring the full useful life of the equipment, in coordination with daily maintenance completed by operating personnel.
· Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations.
· Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
· Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime/inefficient operational issues.
· Ensure environmental compliance.
· Effectively communicate results and action plans to appropriate foreman and supervisors.
· Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
· Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
· Test mechanical to ensure proper functioning.
· Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices can access and remove defective parts using hoists, hand tools, or power tools.
· Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. Operate hoists or other moving or lifting equipment.
· Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance.
· Inspect mechanical components to identify problems.
· Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
· Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency in regards to time as well as resources
· Perform skilled maintenance activities, including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing, and hydraulics.
· Monitor all production areas to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
· Complete assigned work orders.
· Adhere to Safety Procedures including, but limited to, Lock Out Tag Out, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent required
· Associates or higher preferred.
· Mechanical background.
· Able to physically perform the work.
· Must be proficient in one or more of the following areas: Pipe fitting/Plumbing, Welding, Shop Machinery, Sheet metal, Hydraulics, Pneumatic, Electrical Controls & instrumentation, Automatic Equipment Operation (setup, repair, and tear down).
· Must have computer skills.
· Mechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications.
· Ability to work 50+ hours
· Adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
· Ability to communicate verbally and written in English
· Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.
