Lead the low-level software bring-up of next-generation Augmented Reality (AR) platforms running Android XR on Qualcomm Snapdragon architecture.

Architect, develop, and maintain Linux/Android kernel-space drivers, with a primary focus on display enablement using the DRM/KMS framework.

Configure, integrate, and optimize the Android display stack, including SurfaceFlinger and Hardware Composer, to achieve stringent AR latency, responsiveness, and frame-rate requirements.

Implement, tune, and validate high-speed interfaces such as MIPI DSI and QSPI for micro-display panels, memory devices, and peripheral components.

Collaborate closely with hardware, electrical, and systems engineering teams to debug and resolve complex hardware/software integration challenges.

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to signal integrity, power sequencing, display initialization, protocol communication, and overall system stability.

Drive performance optimization across display, graphics, power, and thermal subsystems to deliver a seamless AR user experience.

Support board bring-up, validation, and production readiness through rigorous testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis.

Utilize advanced lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers, to investigate and resolve physical-layer and protocol-level issues.

Contribute to the development of innovative AR solutions by enabling cutting-edge display technologies and high-performance wearable computing platforms.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.

Hands-on experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, preferably within wearable, AR, XR, or spatial computing platforms such as AR1 or XR2 series chipsets.

Strong expertise in Linux and Android kernel development, including device drivers, kernel debugging, and platform enablement.

Proven experience developing display drivers using DRM/KMS and working with Android graphics components such as SurfaceFlinger and Hardware Composer.

Deep understanding of MIPI DSI and QSPI interfaces, including timing configuration, register-level programming, and protocol debugging.

Advanced programming skills in C and C++ for embedded and system-level software development.

Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities across hardware and software domains.

Experience using hardware diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, MIPI protocol analyzers, and other embedded development equipment.

Solid understanding of embedded system architecture, boot flows, memory management, power management, and performance optimization.
Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000 a year
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
