Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions.
- Provide specialized care for pediatric, geriatric, adult, and developmental disability populations, including those with PTSD, addiction issues, or complex mental health conditions.
- Perform crisis management and intervention during acute psychiatric episodes to ensure patient safety and stabilize conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans and facilitate seamless patient transitions across services.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health policies.
- Stay current with medical terminology, healthcare diagnosis standards, and regulatory policies related to mental health practice.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with completion of residency training in psychiatry.
- Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in the respective jurisdiction; DEA registration required for prescribing controlled substances.
- Proven experience working with children, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or complex psychiatric needs.
- Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and other psychotherapy modalities.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medical documentation standards.
- Experience working in inpatient, outpatient, clinic-based settings or telehealth platforms is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and health policy guidelines related to psychiatric practice.
- Excellent communication skills for patient assessment, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
