Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with menu planning by preparing components for daily specials and regular menu items
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Cook a variety of dishes with attention to presentation, quality, and consistency
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient meal preparation and service flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food service environments
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning and ingredient organization
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen setting
- Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and attention to detail in food industry operations
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
