Huggins Dental is a private, single location, 3 doctor practice located between Greenville and Travelers Rest. We are a patient-centered, team-focused dental practice seeking a Dental Treatment Coordinator.
Job Title: Dental Treatment Coordinator
Reports To: Practice Manager / Dentist
Pay and Benefits: Pay will be hourly based on experience. Benefits include Dental benefits, 401k with match, Uniforms, Monthly Bonus, and 4 weeks Paid Time Off plus paid holidays.
Job Summary:
The Dental Treatment Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between patients and the clinical team, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans, financial options, and scheduling needs. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, increasing case acceptance, and creating a seamless patient experience from consultation through treatment completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide a positive, professional experience.
- Present and explain recommended treatment plans in a clear, patient-friendly manner.
- Educate patients on procedures, benefits, and expected outcomes.
- Discuss treatment costs, insurance benefits, financing options, and payment arrangements.
- Verify dental insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations when needed.
- Coordinate appointments according to treatment priorities and provider availability.
- Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment to encourage case acceptance.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation in the practice management system.
- Collaborate closely with dentists, hygienists, and front office staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor daily and monthly treatment acceptance goals and contribute to practice growth.
- Handle patient concerns or questions with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office, preferably as a Treatment Coordinator, Patient Coordinator, or Front Office Coordinator.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and insurance processes.
- Experience with dental practice management software (Curve is our dental software)
- Strong understanding of dental insurance benefits and financial arrangements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in general computer applications and excellent typing skills.

- Proven ability to increase treatment case acceptance.
- Sales or patient education experience.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
