Department: Piping and Rigging
Reports To: Piping Project Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Has practical knowledge of Regulatory Compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, CSE, Inc. Rules and Regulations and Site-Specific Rules and Regulations; works within current regulations
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions in a cordial and professional manner
- Cut, thread, and hammer pipes according to pope system specs
- Use saws and cutting torches to craft proper pipe specs
- Turn off steam, water, or gas from pipe section
- Secure pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment
- Repair and maintain pipe systems and components
- Resolve problems such as obstructions or holes
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as length, angle, degree turns, take-a-ways for different size pipe 45s and 90s, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities: This position requires the use of emotional control and the ability to sustain attention.
Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
