American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a community hospital cardiac cath lab, requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab with an electrophysiology (EP) lab
-
Adult patient population for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
-
Procedures include diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP and Impella insertion, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion/programming, cardioversion, and EP studies
-
Uses Philips fluoroscopy equipment and PACS system

Epic EMR experience required

5x8 hour day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Weekend call rotation and overnight call as needed

Holiday coverage as needed
-
No floating required
-
Minimum of 2 years experience in cardiac cath lab and EP procedures

Current ACLS and BLS certification required; CCI RCIS preferred
-
License required if applicable
-
Community hospital experience required
-
Prior travel assignment experience required

Epic charting experience required

Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred

Experience with upper and lower extremity angiography and thrombolysis/thrombectomy preferred

Skilled in sterile technique, equipment setup/maintenance, EKG lead placement, and hemodynamic monitoring
-
Able to scrub, circulate, and maintain a sterile field during procedures
-
Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, access site prep, room circulating, and scrubbing for cardiac cath and EP procedures

May care for COVID-positive patients

Facility is tobacco and fragrance free

EKG competency exam must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
