Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across various types of heavy equipment vehicles,. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive and heavy equipment repair, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on automotive systems, including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical components.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including tire service, greasing, air brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical repairs.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment during heavy lifting and equipment operation.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each service task.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs and adherence to quality standards.
Experience
- Experience working with heavy trucks & trailers.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance for trucks or tractor-trailers is preferred.
- Experience in welding, equipment repair, or fabrication is a plus.
- Familiarity with diesel mechanics, heavy truck repair or automotive electrical system repair is advantageous.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and perform heavy lifting when necessary.
This position requires a motivated individual with a solid foundation in vehicle mechanics or industrial equipment repair who can work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
