Job Description:
Part Time/ 24 hours weekly
12 hour shift
7am -7pm
Administers nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Creates a positive customer service environment.
JOB DUTIES
- Administers direct care to patients - considering the needs of patient populations where indicated or assists team members in giving care to patients (i.e. vital signs, wound care, pulmonary hygiene, sterile technique, gastric tube therapy, operating applicable equipment, medication administration, and patient/family education.)
- Has access to medication storage areas as required for job tasks.
- Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
Professional Practice is based on the theoretical framework of nursing at Baptist Health Paducah including principles of Relationship-Based Care, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Professional Practice, and the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required
- Technical Diploma
