Yard employees are responsible for moving vehicles to the ready position and then moving finished products to their assigned places in the yard. Yard employees also QC mounted vehicles; checking for loose items and tightened bolts on saddles. Yard employees are required to walk long distances between the shop and the vehicle staging areas in all different types of weather conditions.
Examples of essential functions:
- Operates simple to moderately complex equipment, i.e. hand tools and vehicle operation
- Uses hand tools to tighten bolts on saddles
- Secures items for shipping to the frame of the truck using banding material Physical requirements:
- Some tasks involve frequent bending, stooping, climbing and, some lifting and carrying of moderate weight (25-45lbs); and/or the operation of hand tools in which manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination are important in safely completing a task.
- This position requires regular, on-site attendance and performance of duties from the company’s office or designated work locations. Working from the office or on location is considered an essential function of this role.
