Dental Patient Office Access Assistants – full-time
The Community Health Center of the New River Valley is seeking two full-time (40 hours each) Front Office Assistants in its dental offices in both Christiansburg and Dublin. The hours are:
- Christiansburg position: Tuesday–Friday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
- Dublin position: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
This role is the first to encounter patients and must do so professionally and enthusiastically – greeting them with courtesy, respect, and positive communication.
This role is responsible for the registration of incoming patients in a prompt manner to avoid delays in arrival time and to ensure a swift check-in process. This position is also responsible for verifying patient demographics and insurance coverage and making changes as necessary, collecting patient payments, scheduling appointments, and answering the phone.
Qualifications: – at least 1 year of experience in a dental office environment; Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred or equivalent combination or education and experience. Preference given to those with federally-qualified health care experience.
