We are currently seeking a Full-Time Chemical Dependency Counselor preferably a dual-diagnosis provider to be responsible for the day-to-day treatment for patients participating in Recovery Institute of Ohio’s treatment program. Duties include patient assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, individual therapy, group counseling, crisis intervention, and coordinating with treatment team members. A high level of professionalism and flexibility is essential for the individual to complete job responsibilities. Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and promote a healthy lifestyle and adhere to productivity requirements and procedures as defined by management staff.
- Complete assessments and intake procedures for patient admission when requested.
- Facilitate patient group sessions.
- Provide individual counseling.
- Develop individualized treatment plan.
- Provide crisis intervention services.
- Coordinate with aftercare services and referral sources.
- Facilitate patient referrals when indicated.
. Requirements:
- Preferred master's degree or a related field with an active Ohio LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, LSW LISW, LISW-S, LCDC III, LICDC, or LICDC-CS; Bachelor's degree and active Ohio LSW required.
- Substance use disorder treatment experience and Mental Health (Dual) treatment experience preferred.
- Understanding of the disease model of SUD, person centered approaches to treatment, and harm-reduction.
- Understanding of the ASAM criteria including transfer of Levels of Care.
- Adherence to HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient privacy.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency and literacy including proper documentation in an electronic health records system, and the use of Microsoft office products.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
