Outside Marketing & Contractor Relations Rep 15 a hour plus commission
Full-Time | Polk County & Surrounding Areas | On-the-Road Marketing
B&B Wholesale Granite serves contractors, builders, remodelers, and design professionals. We need a boots-on-the-ground marketing rep who will get out into the field daily, build real relationships, and keep our name top of mind across the construction community.
This is not an office job. It’s a shake-hands, walk-job-sites, and stay-visible position — perfect for someone who thrives in the construction world, not behind a desk.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Contractor Outreach & Relationship Building
- Visit job sites, builder offices, contractor supply houses, and remodeler showrooms
- Introduce B&B products, pricing, timelines, and services
- Build strong relationships with contractors, foremen, supers, and PMs
- Maintain consistent follow-up to convert warm leads
2. Mandatory Local Networking Group Participation
This is a required part of the job — not optional.
- Join and actively participate in local networking groups (BNI, Chamber of Commerce, contractor associations, etc.)
- Attend weekly/biweekly meetings on behalf of B&B
- Schedule 1:1s with business owners, realtors, builders, and remodeling companies
- Bring back referrals, connections, and opportunities from each group
3. Territory Marketing
- Map and track active construction and remodeling zones
- Drop off materials: samples, business cards, brochures
- Attend contractor breakfasts, trade shows, and industry meetups
- Increase B&B brand visibility in Polk County and surrounding areas
4. Lead Generation
- Identify job sites needing granite/quartz/marble
- Gather contact info and set up introductions
- Track all outreach in a simple CRM or spreadsheet
- Submit weekly lead and activity reports
5. Brand Representation
- Represent B&B with professionalism on all job sites
- Educate contractors on availability, turnaround times, and pricing
- Handle basic objections and provide solutions
- Build trust through follow-through and consistency
6. Competitor & Market Awareness
- Monitor other wholesalers’ pricing, service, and market presence
- Report contractor feedback and industry trends
- Suggest improvements based on real market needs
Additional Responsibilities
- Keep marketing materials stocked and organized
- Capture job site photos and report potential project opportunities
- Assist with simple marketing ideas when needed
- Coordinate with fabrication team for quotes and scheduling
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and vehicle
Skills & Qualities Needed
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable walking active job sites
- Organized, persistent, self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle
- Experience in construction, remodeling, or outside sales is helpful
- Natural networker — enjoys meeting new people

$15 an hour plus commission
