Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate metal parts.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure quality control.
- Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) press brakes for complex bending operations to increase precision and repeatability.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety standards and protocols during machine operation.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, perform minor maintenance, and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members on production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Proficiency in adjusting programs at the controller, selecting and installing the proper tooling, and making bend angle corrections.
- Familiarity with shop math, measurement techniques, and the use of precision measurement tools for quality inspection.
- Ability to operate hand tools, forming machines, and pem machinery safely.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and strict adherence to safety protocols during machine operation.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members effectively.
