POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Process vendor invoices and purchase orders, ensuring all expenses comply with approved budget allocations.
· Post and categorize debits and credits in the general ledger while maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.
· Prepare routine financial statements and reports in accordance with internal procedures and external reporting requirements.
· Assist with annual financial audits by compiling supporting schedules, vouchers, documentation, and work papers.
· Reconcile bank and credit card statements, balance accounts, and resolve financial discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Monitor expenditures to ensure funds are used appropriately and accurately recorded.
· Prepare and issue payroll and payment checks accurately, securely, and in accordance with established procedures and approval requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Three (3) years of hands-on bookkeeping and payroll experience.
· Familiarity with government accounting practices, fund accounting, grants, and applicable state and local tax requirements.
· Proficiency with spreadsheet software and database systems; Paylocity experience helpful.
· Experience supporting independent audits, including preparing financial records, documentation, schedules, and other requested audit materials.
· Ability to work collaboratively, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate initiative.
· Professional and courteous administrative support skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks timely.
REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Must pass a criminal background check.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
