Kennel Technician
Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their individual needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal living areas
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing animals
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledge of basic animal care and nutrition
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for long periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Note: Experience working with animals is preferred but not required.
