Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated individual to join our team in a dual role as Part-Time Optometric Technician and Receptionist. No prior experience is required — we will fully train the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to build a meaningful career in eye care while making a real difference for our patients every day.
Responsibilities
Clinical / Technician Duties:
- Perform preliminary eye exams including visual acuity testing, auto-refraction, and tonometry
- Obtain and record patient histories accurately
- Assist the optometrist during examinations
- Administer eye drops and instruct patients on pre- and post-exam care
- Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of exam rooms and equipment
Front Desk / Receptionist Duties:
- Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional attitude
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the patient recall system
- Verify insurance benefits and assist with billing inquiries
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system
- Coordinate office flow to ensure a smooth and timely patient experience
What We’re Looking For

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Basic computer proficiency
- Prior experience in healthcare, customer service, or a front desk role is a plus but not required
Schedule
Part-time hours, with availability on weekdays and occasional Saturdays preferred. Specific schedule is flexible and will be discussed during the interview.
