Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to take us into our next phase of growth. This individual will manage day-to-day business functions, lead department heads, and build scalable systems to drive long-term strategic growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for translating strategic vision into operational execution. This role requires a strong real estate background, proven leadership experience, and the ability to be both strategic and hands-on in improving company performance and agent experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Develop and implement systems and procedures to improve company productivity; establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability structures
- Monitor key operating metrics; identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions
- Manage leadership and accountability across all departments: Recruitment; Agent Services; Marketing; Operations; Finance; Technology; Compliance; Training & Development
- Conduct regular meetings and performance reviews with team leaders
- Recruit, hire, and retain top operational talent
- Ensure compliance with New York real estate regulations and licensing requirements
Growth & Strategy
- Partner with the CEO on company strategy and execution
- Identify opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and new revenue streams
- Assist in evaluating M&A opportunities and brokerage acquisitions
- Help build infrastructure capable of supporting significant future growth
Agent Experience
- Drive agent onboarding, retention, and ongoing training and engagement programs
- Ensure agents receive exceptional support and service
- Develop systems that help agents become more productive and successful
Financial Management
- Work closely with finance and accounting teams to manage budgets and profitability
- Analyze departmental performance and return on investment
- Create reporting systems and dashboards for leadership
Technology & Innovation
- Oversee implementation and adoption of brokerage technology
- Drive operational automation and process improvement initiatives
- Evaluate and implement tools that improve agent productivity and company efficiency
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of leadership experience in real estate brokerage, operations, proptech, or a related field
- Proven track record scaling operations in a high-growth environment
- Experience managing leadership teams of 10+
- Familiarity with CRM, recruiting, marketing automation, and brokerage management platforms
- Deep understanding of residential real estate sales and rentals
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- NY State Real Estate Salesperson or Broker license
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
Preferred
- Experience managing a brokerage with 500+ agents
- Experience integrating acquisitions or mergers
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and budgeting
- Knowledge of New York City real estate markets, licensing, and compliance
- MBA or related advanced degree

Within the first 12 months, the COO will:
- Create clear accountability and KPI systems
- Build leadership infrastructure capable of supporting substantial future growth
- Strengthen recruiting, retention, and agent support initiatives
- Increase company profitability through operational improvements across all departments
- Help position FIND Real Estate as the premier independent brokerage platform in New York City and beyond
