Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of clinical assessment, patient care, and medical procedures, with the ability to deliver high-quality care across diverse settings. This role involves providing comprehensive primary and acute care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while adhering to all regulatory standards. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in electronic health record systems, and physical examinations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history intake, and physical examinations to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, data collection, and medical records management.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging, laboratory tests (including ICD coding), and interpret results for effective treatment planning.
- Engage in health coaching and nutrition guidance as part of comprehensive patient management strategies.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner with current licensure in the practicing state.
- Proficiency in EMR systems including Office Ally, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding is essential.
- Experience in diverse clinical settings such as Primary Care clinics, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining HIPAA compliance standards.
