Industrial Electrician

About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems that keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment and enjoys solving technical problems while supporting continuous production operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and machinery.
- Install, maintain, and inspect electrical systems, motors, control panels, and production equipment.
- Diagnose electrical issues using meters, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot motor controls, contactors, relays, VFDs, and sensors.
- Support installation of new production equipment and facility upgrades.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work orders.
- Follow all OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company safety procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production personnel to minimize downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industrial electrical or manufacturing maintenance experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience troubleshooting 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems
- Knowledge of motors, motor controls, relays, sensors, and electrical panels
- Experience using electrical testing equipment including multimeters and megohm meters
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work overtime or occasional weekends as production requires
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school certificate in Electrical Technology or Industrial Maintenance
- Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- NFPA 70E training
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Journeyman Electrician license (preferred but not required)
