Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead and oversee outdoor landscaping projects with enthusiasm and precision. Duties
- Lead and supervise landscape construction crews on various projects, including hardscape installations, planting, irrigation systems, and grounds maintenance.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Operate and oversee the use of grounds maintenance equipment, landscaping tools, and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Manage irrigation systems installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal landscape health.
- Identify plants accurately and provide guidance on horticulture best practices for sustainable landscape development.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Maintain detailed project documentation including reports, logs, and safety records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising landscape construction or grounds maintenance teams with a focus on outdoor projects.
- Strong knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, hardscape installation, plant identification, and irrigation management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage crews effectively while fostering teamwork.
- Hands-on experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, excavators, and irrigation tools.
- Construction experience in outdoor environments with a focus on landscaping or horticulture practices.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely; valid driver’s license required.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients clearly and professionally.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; outdoor work experience preferred.
