American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring an AL or compact RN license and 2+ years of recent acute care experience.
-
Work in the 2 Medical unit of an acute care hospital setting
-
General Medicine patient population
-
24-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
-
Uses EPIC EMR system
-
Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
-
Required to work every other weekend
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required to other units within the acute care division
-
Active RN license (AL or Compact) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), both AHA-issued

Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required

EPIC EMR experience required
-
BCMA experience required
-
Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills required

Provide patient-centered nursing care within a general medicine acute care unit

Must demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to established processes
-
Navy blue scrubs required

Fingernails must be compliant with TJC and CMS guidelines and shoes must be closed-toed with backs

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted

No previous permanent employment history with Orlando Health allowed
