Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their equipment concerns and service needs
- Write detailed service orders by accurately documenting customer descriptions, equipment issues, and requested repairs
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, estimate timeframes, and ensure timely completion of service
- Provide clear explanations of recommended services, estimates, and repair procedures to customers
- Manage cash handling and processing of payments efficiently and accurately
- Maintain comprehensive records of all service transactions, work orders, and customer interactions
- Submit all warranty and insurance claims using dealership software.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or background in equipment service management is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in equipment repair, diagnostics, and maintenance
- Experience working as a service technician or in equipment repair enhances your ability to communicate technical details effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
- Excellent computer skills, with the ability to learn new programs as needed
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Mechanical aptitude combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple service orders efficiently
- Works closely with the parts department and learns parts processes and procedures to ensure smooth repair completion.
- Rotating Saturdays are mandatory.
- Must be highly dependable and a team player.
