Job Summary
We are seeking a legal assistant to support a busy Worcester real estate law office with a combination of administrative and legal responsibilities. Candidate must have previous office experience. This is a full-time, in-office position.
Responsibilities
- provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
- open physical files and data entry of transaction information into Qualia
- prepare and redline purchase and sales agreements and riders
- prepare documents including deeds, powers of attorney and trustee certificates
- communication with agents, attorneys, and clients throughout transaction
- maintain Senior Partner file list
- order titles, plot plans and municipal lien certificates
- record documents at the Registry of Deeds
- answer and direct incoming phone calls
- support general office operations as needed
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, or similar office support role
- professional demeanor and client service skills
- organizational skills and attention to detail
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to prioritize tasks and communicate progress/status/issues to attorneys/paralegals;
- ability to learn new tasks quickly
- Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- knowledge of real estate is a plus
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
