Tuesday-Saturday 9am - early afternoon (time varies generally between 12pm and 2pm)
Responsibilities
Drive Essex County Habitat for Humanity ReStore box truck to pick-up donated goods from homes and businesses. *Donated goods range from building materials (lumber, doors, windows) to appliances, furniture and household items.
Load and unload all donated materials avoiding damage.
Use judgement and experience to screen for product usability (will train!)
Performs well in a fast paced, quickly changing environment. Ability to follow directions.
Support the retail team as needed.
Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, ReStore customers, and donors.
Maintain professionalism.
Requirements:
Valid MA Driver’s license with acceptable driving record
3 years driving experience
Experience driving a box truck. CDL not required.
Have or acquire DOT medical card within first 2 weeks of employment. Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and work as a team to move larger items.
Experience lifting and maneuvering furniture.
Experience with tools and taking apart furniture.
High school diploma or equivalent.
