We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic with over 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Some of the tasks you will perform:
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure operational efficiency and prevent downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnosing problems and making timely repairs.
- Conduct inspections, adjustments, and repairs to various mechanical systems such as conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulic equipment.
- Install, align, and assemble machinery and equipment according to specifications.
- Operate hand and power tools to perform maintenance work, including welding, cutting, and machining.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service logs, parts inventory, and work orders.
- Work closely with other team members, to address complex system failures.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with the development of preventive maintenance programs and schedules to reduce equipment downtime.
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technology, tools, and practices in mechanical maintenance.
- Collaborate with management to identify areas for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with industrial equipment and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency with various tools and equipment, including welding and machining tools.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and understanding of downtime minimization techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or associate degree in a related field preferred.
