Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a single restaurant location. Implements, acts in accordance with and enforces all operational and HR policy. Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with company procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
· Achieves restaurant operational and financial objectives by completing assigned tasks. Contributes information and recommendations aimed at achieving goals and objectives.
· Runs shifts, keeping a constant and active presence on the service floor. Oversees and participates in all aspects of guest service. Works any job function as needed in the event of staffing shortages. Maintains flexible and open availability and can report to work with as little as 3 hours’ notice when staffing shortages or other issues requiring the presence of the Restaurant Manager arise.
· Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and availability, restroom, and facility preparedness and by monitoring food presentation and service quality.
· Responsible for guest service in the assigned restaurant location on scheduled shifts. Enforces the Paesanos Inc. steps of service for the designated location and monitors staff members to ensure that customer service standards are upheld. Responsible for contacting guests regarding problems and complaints. Works to encourage repeat business by addressing guest issues in a timely fashion.
· Ensures the safe and legal service of alcohol to all guests on scheduled shifts. Conforms to the regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission and all company policy relating to the service of alcohol.
· Maximizes bar profitability by ensuring portion control and by monitoring accuracy of charges on scheduled shifts.
· Monitors food quality and consistency and works with the Kitchen Manager to identify and solve problems.
· Actively participates in daily reporting according with a “solution-based approach” to entries
· Attends and contributes to in-store weekly meetings when scheduled. Assigns tasks and follows through to ensure completion.
· Responsible for restaurant cleanliness and upkeep on scheduled shifts. Ensures the use of cleaning and janitorial lists to ensure that cleaning and upkeep expectations are met.
· Responsible for identifying repair and maintenance needs and acting in a timely manner to solve problems. Arranges for the repair and maintenance of those items approved for in-store action and communicates other repair and maintenance needs in a timely manner to the Lead Restaurant Manager.
· Assists in identifying and solving issues relating to pest control. Reads recommendations on pest control reports and acts when necessary.
· Enforces food safety and sanitation practices in the restaurant and is responsible for the successful passage of periodic County Health Inspections.
· Ensures a safe working environment by maintaining safety and uniform standards. Identify areas of safety risk and take action to correct them. Reports any on-site accidents or injuries in the manner described in the Lead Restaurant Manager in a timely manner.
· Responsible for the management of human resources in the assigned restaurant location including screening applicants, staff training and development, employee scheduling, issuing disciplinary actions, performance management, and terminations. Adheres to the company’s HR policies and procedures and ensures the completion of all necessary documentation for all HR related issues that occur on scheduled shifts.
· Minimizes office and administrative time by utilizing organizational and time management skills to complete administrative tasks in a timely fashion. Executes administrative tasks only during hours designated for this purpose.
· Strictly enforces the Paesanos Inc. Zero Tolerance policy on Sexual Harassment and Discrimination, acting swiftly and communicating immediately to the Corporate Office and HR Administrator when violations of the policy are detected or brought to attention by an employee.
· Strictly enforces the Paesanos Inc. Zero Tolerance policy on Drugs and Alcohol, acting swiftly when violations are observed and communicates fully to the Corporate Dining Room Manager when violations of the policy are suspected or observed.
· Actively manages FOH labor costs on scheduled shifts, adjusting as needed to reach target labor cost expenditures.
· Responsible for accurate employee timekeeping on scheduled shifts.
Responsible for acting in accordance with and enforcing all other company policy outlined in official company documents.

Pay: $56,659.00 - $62,462.00 per year
