Repair/Receiving Lead

Monday - Friday 5AM-1:30PM
$16.00-$20.45/Hour
Job Purpose:
To inspect and repair tools received into the Packing Department according to the company standards.
Essential Functions:
-
Inspect tools prior to packing for defects, such as: cracks, bent tools, paint/coating imperfections and informs supervisor of defects.

Repairs grips hit in finishing process, straightens products in packing using soft mallet, cleans tools grips as necessary.

Examines field returns and records results as necessary.
-
Categorizes repairs and scrap, records them before products are removed from Packing Department and expedites removal of repairs and scrap from Packing Department to designated areas.

Assembles various tools to ready them for shipping (Fiberglass, GP 100’s).

Sorts, loads and unloads tools/products in tubs or carts and transports to specific staging area and transports completed and inspected shipping cartons to staging area for transfer to the warehouse.

Completes the appropriate routing sheet and inputs data entry information in a timely manner.
Additional Responsibilities:

Fills in for UV Technician or Operator in their absence.
-
Receives goods at the dock when receiving person is unavailable.

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
-
One to three months of related experience or on-the-job training.
Physical:
-
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use arms/hands to reach, finger, handle or feel, talk and hear for 8 hours or more per day.
-
Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/ move up to 50 pounds.
-
Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus to work.
-
Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, moderate noise levels, and vibration to hands.
-
Employees will be required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses and foot protection as necessary and may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
Mental:
-
Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.

Must be able to perform mathematical skills such as: addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
