Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques
- Handle janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to maintain a professional appearance
- Assist with custodial tasks in both commercial and residential settings to ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Support facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs, minor painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep when needed
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report needs for restocking or repairs
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
