Security Officer at Luxury Hotel - overnight
Monday to Friday 11pm to 7am
We are seeking a vigilant, professional, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and property. This role requires strong observation skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to handle situations discreetly and effectively.
Responsibilities include:

Patrol hotel premises (including lobby, guest floors, public areas and back-of-house) regularly to maintain a visible presence and deter security threats.

Monitor security systems including CCTV, fire alarms, and access control systems.

Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and incidents such as disturbances, theft, medical emergencies, or fire.

Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and ensuring only authorized personnel are admitted.

Enforce hotel rules and policies professionally and respectfully.

Write clear, detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and daily activities.

Assist guests and employees with safety-related issues or concerns.

Coordinate with local emergency services (fire, police, ambulance) when needed.

Conduct investigations into property damage, theft, or other suspicious activity.

Support crowd control during events or high-occupancy periods.

Ensure compliance with safety and health procedures in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Minimum 2 years experience in a security officer role within luxury hotels, high-end residential, or Class A corporate setting preferred.

Computer Literacy, minimum 2 years experience working with integrated security systems, and advanced skill level with Microsoft Office

Problem solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication

Excellent Organizational Skills and able to multi-task projects

Ability to work independently, with limited supervision.

Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.

Physically fit and able to stand/walk for long periods and respond rapidly when needed.

Flexible schedule, including availability for night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
