Job Summary
Responsible for assisting guests with basic vehicle problems, which include but not limited to, flat tires, dead batteries, and other minor problems while practicing Viejas Guest Service standards. Assists mechanics on basic fleet maintenance as needed or requested.
Job Description
• Assists guest with basic car problems, which include but are not limited to, fixing or changing flat tires, jump starting a vehicle, and other minor problems. Calls tow truck when minor repairs are not enough to fix issues. • Assists mechanics in preventative maintenance such as, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters. Assists with minor vehicle problems using quick diagnostic skills and basic mechanic skills. • Understands basic car safety procedures necessary to change batteries, tires or replace fuses. • Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs. • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications. • Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned. • Does not provide supervision to others. • Must have a valid California Driver’s license. • 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training. • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills. • Working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements. • Knowledge and proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to job functions.
