Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with accuracy and flair.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with integrity and attention to detail.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and preparation procedures.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks in the café area as needed, supporting overall food service operations.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred.
- Proven cashiering skills with familiarity using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling, and food preparation standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café environment, and lift light supplies when necessary.
