Job Summary
Local site work concrete contractor seeking a dedicated and experienced General Superintendent to oversee all in-house construction projects. Company specializes in concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, small paving, etc. Position will be responsible for curb machine operation in addition to form setting and finishing crews. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction process. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various individuals, including contractors, clients, and employees. Candidate will work closely with company owner.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on all current construction sites to ensure quality installation completed in a timely manner.
- Directly responsible for 4 field crews.
- Responsible for daily schedule.
- Visit job sites daily to ensure expected quality and production is being met.
- Communicate with on-site customer superintendents to ensure project schedules are being met.
- Evaluate job requirements and ensure specific materials are purchased as needed.
- Ensure quality control by conducting inspections and addressing any issues that arise during the construction process.
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete construction and supervisory role.
- Ability to communicate with contractors and team members.
- Ability to read plans and do simple take-offs in the field.
- Ability to figure concrete quantities and place orders.
- Experience with concrete curb machine preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage individuals as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
