We are a growing owner-operated apartment management company seeking a reliable, professional Part-Time Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our apartment communities. This position is ideal for someone with strong customer service, leasing, and organizational skills who enjoys working independently and helping residents.
ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Resident Relations
- Show available apartments to prospective tenants
- Process rental applications and assist with applicant screening
- Prepare and execute lease agreements
- Conduct move-in and move-out inspections
- Respond to resident inquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Enforce lease terms and community policies
Property Management
- Coordinate maintenance requests with vendors and maintenance staff
- Perform routine property inspections
- Monitor property condition and report maintenance needs
- Assist with rent collection and delinquency follow-up
- Maintain accurate tenant files and records
- Utilize property management software (Buildium experience preferred)
Administrative Duties
- Answer phone calls, emails, and text inquiries
- Schedule showings and vendor appointments
- Prepare notices and resident communications
- Maintain occupancy and leasing reports
Qualifications
- Previous property management, leasing, real estate, or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to legally execute lease agreements on behalf of ownership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient with computers, email, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with apartment communities or multifamily housing
- Familiarity with Buildium or similar property management software
- Knowledge of Florida landlord-tenant laws
- Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Real estate license is a plus but not required
Schedule
- Flexible part-time schedule
- Some evening or weekend showings may be required
- Approximately 20–30 hours per week
